Child Nutrition Employee Appreciation Week!Yep, that means it's a good time to remember the folks in your school cafeteria. Stop and say hi, and thanks--even if you don't like broccoli! It may not always seem like it, but preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks at school isn't so easy. There's a lot of hard work that goes on behind the serving line that students and teachers rarely get to see. And like many other 'silent' workers, school nutrition employees aren't often in the front line for receiving appreciation.
So thank your lunch ladies and gentlemen!
And...eat your veggies!
